HallyuFlux Chart Methodology

HallyuFlux is an independent, fan-powered weekly K-pop chart.
Our goal is to reflect genuine fan sentiment through structured, transparent, and consistent voting.

This page outlines how the chart is calculated, how songs become eligible, and how vote integrity is maintained.

1. Voting Structure

HallyuFlux uses a ranked voting system.

Each week, registered users may rank up to 10 eligible songs in order of preference.

Votes are weighted by ranking position:

  • A song ranked #1 receives the highest number of points.
  • Points decrease progressively by position down to #10.
  • Users may rank as few as one song or as many as ten.
  • Only one completed ballot per user per weekly cycle is counted.

This structure ensures that both strong first-choice support and consistent overall support influence the final ranking.

2. Weekly Voting Cycle

Voting operates on a fixed weekly cycle.

  • Voting opens at the beginning of each cycle.
  • Voting closes at the published cutoff time.
  • Results are calculated and released at a consistent scheduled time each week.

Once published, weekly rankings are final, except in cases where verified irregular activity requires adjustment.

All past results are archived publicly.

3. Song Eligibility

To maintain focus on current releases, the chart includes:

  • Official title tracks only.
  • Songs released within the past 12 weeks.
  • Tracks that meet eligibility criteria at the time of each voting cycle.

Eligible songs are updated weekly.
Once a song exceeds the eligibility window, it is automatically removed from the voting pool.

This ensures consistency, fairness, and equal opportunity for all qualifying releases.

4. Vote Integrity & Fairness

HallyuFlux is committed to maintaining a fair and credible chart.

The following safeguards are in place:

  • One vote per registered account per weekly cycle.
  • Duplicate submissions are automatically rejected.
  • Automated systems monitor for abnormal or suspicious voting patterns.
  • Irregular activity may be flagged and removed before final tabulation.
  • Manual review may be conducted where necessary.

While no online system can guarantee zero abuse, HallyuFlux continuously improves detection systems to protect the integrity of the chart.

Rankings cannot be purchased, influenced by sponsorship, or manually adjusted for promotional purposes.

5. Data Verification

At the close of each weekly cycle:

  • All ballots are validated.
  • Duplicate or suspicious activity is filtered.
  • Final point totals are calculated.
  • Results are verified prior to publication.

The chart reflects verified aggregated fan votes only.

6. Transparency & Independence

HallyuFlux operates independently.

  • Advertising does not influence rankings.
  • Sponsors (if present) have no involvement in chart calculations.
  • Individual voting data remains private.
  • Aggregate data may be used for statistical insights and reporting.

Our commitment is to structured fan representation — not promotional placement.

7. Ongoing Development

As the platform grows, HallyuFlux will continue refining its systems to improve transparency, security, and fairness.

Methodology updates will be reflected on this page when changes are implemented.

Closing Statement

HallyuFlux exists to reflect real fan sentiment in a consistent and transparent way.

We believe credibility is built through clarity, consistency, and independence.
